Student Number Target Setting
This is the internal allocation of student numbers (and FTEs). This process is informed by applications and enrolment data, together with benchmarking information i.e. retention and non-completion rates.
Current Student Number Targets are now provided in the 'Dashboards' or 'Reports Creator' sections of the WebHub and are no longer provided in spreadsheets.
The Process
The process is split into 2 stages across the academic year, these are as below.
Stage 1 - September to December
This stage is undertaken by the Strategy Support Office. During this stage the level entry level targets are set for International and home students. This is done in conjunction with Deans, initially at the school level with proceeding program level targets set. This enables applications to be monitored at an early stage.
Stage 2 - March to April
Stage 2 involves setting all remaining targets around all continuing students. This is done in conjunction with the faculties with APIS generating indicative targets rolling forward student numbers based on historical retention data.
