UREC Meeting Dates
These submission deadlines are for ethics applications that require routine UREC review. Ethics application for proportionate UREC review can be submitted at any time.
Please be prepared to revise the ethics application the week following the submission deadline (in response to a UREC chair request) and resubmit the application at least a week before the UREC meeting date. This will help you to provide the required information for UREC members – so that UREC members can review your ethics application as efficiently and effectively as possible (thus, reducing the time for you to obtain a UREC favourable ethical opinion and approval)

UREC meetings will take place 11 working days from the submission deadline

Summer period – July/August
Staff holidays mean that UREC will not meet in August to consider ethics application submitted for routine review. Minimal risk registration forms and ethics applications requiring proportionate review will still be processed in the summer period, but processing may be delayed by up to three weeks. Ethics applications requiring routine review will be considered at the next available UREC meeting, by chairs action if appropriate and possible or at an extraordinary UREC meeting if required and possible.
