Timetable guidance for students

The University Central Timetabling Team work with programme teams across all five faculties at LJMU to schedule and publish central teaching timetables for all our students.

There are three main ways to view your timetable activities – all are available online. For your first week at LJMU, look at your induction week timetable. You should attend all activities and induction week sessions for your course to help get you set up at university.

The second timetable you’ll have access to is a general programme timetable. This will show all of the group and module activities happening on your course so that you have an overview of the entire teaching schedule. Don’t worry  - you won’t necessarily need to attend all of these activities. You can also view the Student Set programme timetable which shows the just activities for specific groups, but you might not find out which group you are in until you arrive and are told by your tutors.

The third view of the timetable you will have is your personal timetable. This will show you which group and module activities you should attend for your course and is individual to you. It’s only available once you are fully enrolled, registered for all your modules,  and close to the start of term.

Please note
Exams timetables are published separately later in the semester, and not all assessment activities will appear on the teaching timetable.

You might find additional information about your course on Canvas.
