1. Nominate an LJMU honorary fellow

   We’re asking our students, staff, alumni and LJMU community to nominate individuals they would like to become an LJMU honorary fellow.

   The university is deeply saddened by the death of Peter Law, who passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday 8 February.

   144 students and staff have raised almost £3,000 at a charity event for the North West Air Ambulance Charity.

   LJMU has honoured a group of new fellows at a special ceremony at St George’s Hall.

6. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

7. Could your team offer a work experience placement?

   LJMU’s work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a local pupil to undertake a placement within your department.

8. LJMU academics assess US Election race

   A week out from potentially one of the most consequential US elections in history, academics from LJMU assess some of the key factors which may decide the outcome.

9. Support for care experienced students to be enhanced beyond graduation

   A £50,000 donation will be used to help end the ‘care cliff’ for LJMU students as they finish their studies.

10. Annual survey of teaching space from 21 October

    The annual survey of teaching space will take place across the University over a two-week period, from Monday 21 October to Friday 1 November, 9am to 5pm.
