About International partnerships

The International Partnerships Team resides within the Directorate of International Relations which leads on the university-wide internationalisation activity at LJMU.

With colleagues based in the UK and overseas, International Relations identifies and develops international collaborative and strategic partnerships, represents the University overseas and provides guidance to and attracts international students to study at LJMU. The team also delivers student mobility (inbound and outbound) and facilitates the University’s international summer schools.

The Directorate works closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders including the Associate Deans for Global Engagement, who deliver the international aspirations of each faculty, and International Mobility Coordinators (IMCs) who coordinate mobility opportunities within each academic school.

The University is passionate about developing its international presence through partnerships with like-minded institutions across the world. We welcome international students who choose to study an LJMU programme either in Liverpool or with one of our overseas partner institutions, or a combination of the two. We aim to provide an enriching international experience to our students through international opportunities embedded in the curriculum, opportunities for semester and yearlong study overseas and short-term international study, volunteering and work experience placements.
