Commissioned by Unite Students, this research explores the experiences of Black students across university accommodation and private halls of residence, amplifying their voices and stories to the wider Higher Education sector.
David is an engineering graduate of LJMU who now works in the research and technology sector. Like many fellow students, David’s journey to university didn’t quite go to plan after he received lower than expected A-level results. But it’s this adversity that set him on a new path through university, and one that he’s grateful for, as he adapted and embraced everything student life has to offer.
As a prospective future social worker, your ability to present yourself in a professional manner will be assessed, along with other areas, such as your passion for the vocation, and awareness and knowledge of the role.
