1. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

   The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.

2. Graduation review: Monday 11 July 2016

   The first day of LJMU's 2016 Summer Graduation Ceremonies kick off at Liverpool Cathedral on Monday 11 July.

4. Faculty of Health sets out its ambitions

   Offering an outstanding student experience, carrying out world-leading research and working with partners to tackle health inequalities are the focus for our Faculty of Health. The faculty hosted a relaunch event this week to showcase its state-of-the-art new facilities and set out its ambitions for the coming years.

5. Education students gain experience and insight through placements in Thailand

   For the past eight years students from the LJMU BA Education and BA Early Childhood Studies programmes have had the opportunity to undertake international placements thanks to a partnership with Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand.

6. Professional Services Staff Governor Elections

   Five candidates have put themselves forwards for the position and voting will take place between Monday 13 and 27 March.

8. £575k boost for student mental health provision in Liverpool

   A partnership featuring Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded £575k worth of funding from the Office for Students for a project to further develop mental health provision for students across Liverpool.

9. Pint of Science Festival comes to Liverpool

   Lecturers from across LJMU will be sharing their research as part of the Pint of Science Festival Programme this May.

    All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.
