Led Ride

Join our Led Ride at LJMU and learn to ride confidently to and from campus and around Liverpool.

John Lennon Art and Design Building

14:00 - 16:00

Come along to our Led Ride where our trained instructor will show you routes to and from campus as well as around the city. This session is for you if you have a competent level of cycling ability but are looking to improve your confidence, cycle more frequently and feel safer riding on roads. During this session you will learn how to:

  • Safely ride on roads
  • Learn new routes for commuting
  • Discover more of your local area

We have three upcoming sessions, each of which are 2 hours long:

  • Wednesday 2nd October, 2pm – 4pm
  • Thursday 10th October, 2pm – 4pm
  • Thursday 15th October, 2pm – 4pm

The meeting place for the session will be outside of the John Lennon Art and Design Building main entrance.

We can provide helmets so you don’t need to own one to attend, but if you have your own you’re welcome to bring it! We ask that you bring your own bike to this event in anticipation that you are ready to take up cycling on the road. If you do not have a bike for this event, please make us aware of this on your initial enquiry so that we can arrange bicycle hire.

These events aim to be inclusive, particularly for those who typically have a lower uptake of cycling such as women, those on low incomes, and those who identify as belonging to an ethnic minority group.
