Rachel Russell is a Lecturer in Policing at the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies at Liverpool John Moores University and Deputy Programme Lead for the Policing Studies and Policing and Investigations undergraduate programmes. Specialist areas of teaching include Evidence-Based Policing (EBP), Policing Technology, Sexual Offences, Vulnerable Populations and Police Academic and Research Skills. Rachel is Module Lead for the Level 5 Community Engagement Project module and is also aligned to the delivery of the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) programme and is Module Lead for the Level 5 Evidence-Based Policing and Exploring Policing Studies modules.
Rachel holds a BA(hons) in Sociology, a MSc in Policing and Criminal Investigation, a PG Cert in Academic Practice (FHEA), and is currently undertaking PhD studies regarding young persons who go missing from residential care.
