1. Register to vote in the General Election

   Find out all you need to know to register to vote in the General Election on 12 December.

2. City’s universities unite to encourage students to register to vote

   With only days before the 26 November registration deadline for the December 12 General Election, Liverpool's universities are collectively encouraging the city’s 70,000 students to register to vote.

4. Public Health institute (PHI) host the European Federation of Environmental Health (EFEH)

   Public Health institute (PHI) host the European Federation of Environmental Health (EFEH) a regional branch of the International Federation of Environmental Health, which seeks to a provide means for exchanging information and experience on environmental health works to promote co-operation between countries

5. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

6. Tate launch for Literature and Cultural History Research Institute

   Themes of sea, migration and mobility swept through the launch of the University’s Research Institute for Literature and Cultural History at Liverpool Tate.

7. International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) - 3rd December 2019

   1981 was designated by the United Nations as the International Year of Disabled People and since then, 3rd December has been marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day aims to promote a better understanding of disability issues with a focus on the rights of disabled people and the gains derived from their integration into every aspect of the political, social, economic and cultural life of our communities.

   POACHERS who disguise rare animal remains in a multi-billion dollar trade are a step closer to being caught out, according to scientists in Liverpool, UK.

9. World AIDS Day - 1st December 2019

   World AIDS Day takes place on 1st December each year.

10. Another successful year for the online summer course “Sustainability and Employability”

    Over 60 students successfully completed the online summer course Sustainability and Employability: Understanding Sustainability Issues and Getting Ready for the Job Market.
