1. January exams: training for invigilators

   In anticipation of the January examination period, Academic Registry will be holding invigilation training sessions for LJMU staff throughout December.

2. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

3. Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair – 10 March, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   Students from any programme or level of study are invited to attend this fair to meet and network with 50+ employers offering internships, placements and graduate roles.

4. Progress on new curriculum management system

   Academic colleagues welcomed the Australian company delivering our new curriculum management system to LJMU for a series of productive in-person sessions.

5. Teaching Staff - Call For Nominations to the Board of Governors

   Nominations are sought to fill one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a Staff Governor (Teaching) for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2023.

6. Business experts support 120 new jobs for greener homes firm

   Experts from Liverpool Business School are to guide a local firm's ambitions in the pre-owned kitchens business.

7. Examination Timetable now out

   The main University examinations will take place between 27 April - 7 May 2020.

8. IT drop-in sessions

   IT Services is running a series of drop-in classroom display and audio technology introduction/refresher sessions

9. LJMU PHD student Valeria Carini recognised at Pandemic Institute’s first Student Excellence Awards

   Valeria was presented the award alongside students from the University of Liverpool and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with grants for scientific research, aimed to enhance preparedness for future pandemics.

10. Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage conference held in partnership with Savera UK 

    LJMU equality and diversity team worked in partnership with SaveraUK to host an inspiring HBA, FGM and FM event in November 2019.
