  3. Hannah Kate Whelan

    Hannah is an impressive LJMU alumni and former British gymnast turned coach and now mother. During her career she represented England and Great Britain at competitions including the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, British, European and World Championships, all while balancing her studies as a sports scholar.

  6. Global Citizen (Volunteering) - Go abroad

    The LJMU Go Global fund allows students to undertake international projects, from existing programmes such as Camp America or TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) courses, to individual projects students have designed themselves.   7. The legacy of Sir John Moores

    In early 2024, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Mark Power looked back at the legacy of Sir John Moores and his Littlewoods business, revisiting how the university came to bear his name and how the university is the custodian of the Moores’ family story.

  10. Nathan Maguire

    Nathan is an LJMU alumni and former sports scholar. He boasts an impressive track record as a para-athlete competing in the T54 wheelchair racing. He has multiple medals to his name and has his eyes set on the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
