1. New film celebrates 200 years of LJMU in 90 seconds

   The film - LJMU 200 - celebrates the roots of the institution founded in 1823 and how it has become the modern university that it is today in its bicentenary year.

2. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

3. In memoriam Harry Pepp

   The university is sad to announce the death of former lecturer Harry Pepp. Professor Roger Webster pays tribute.

4. Admissions Policy update

   The LJMU Admissions Policy has recently undergone some minor amendments and the updated version can be found in the Policy Centre.

5. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

6. Academic Framework Regulations updates for new academic year

   Two policies have been updated, one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate programmes.

7. Academic Registry training sessions February to July 2023

   There are still many staff training opportunities available this academic year, through to the end of July 2023, covering a range of topics.

8. New Forensic Research Institute launched

   LJMU has launched a new Forensic Research Institute (FORRI) to support and enhance the criminal justice system.

9. Bicentenary year gets underway

   As our 200th year gets underway, we are excited to celebrate with you, our students and our staff, and there will be opportunities throughout the year for you to get involved.

10. Enhancing the student experience through improved assessment and feedback guidance

    A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.
