4. LJMU leads partnership with technology hub to support and innovate region’s businesses

   LJMU received a £2m government grant to help SMEs, and has used the funding to partner with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) to help transform regional industry through the use of a new Business Launch Centre (MTC@LJMU) based at LJMU’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

5. School of Justice Studies hosts students from Singapore University of Social Sciences

   The two-week summer school helped broaden the understanding of policing and the criminal justice system.

6. Global impact for publication on lack of exercise under ‘lockdown’

   Research which highlights changes to the human body during lockdown and other sedentary situations is having a huge impact among scientists worldwide.

7. Opportunities for veterans to plug skills shortage in green energy sector

   LJMU played host to the inaugural Veterans’ Green Energy Forum (Thursday 23 February) in an extension of its commitment to supporting veterans to better access higher education and to further its role in combatting climate concerns.

8. Liverpool and Togo to forge vital links

   The Ambassador of Togo visited LJMU recently to establish academic, research and business links between LJMU and Liverpool city region and the Universities and businesses in Togo.
