   As the end of your undergraduate journey approaches, it is important to consider your next steps. Some students may have a job offer in-hand, others may have ideas in mind but have not yet started to apply for jobs.

   Graduate opportunities exist across all sectors and with employers of all sizes, but there are significant differences in the recruitment process and focus of the roles.

3. Start-up Hub

   The Start-up Hub helps students and graduates start a business. We offer funding, business advice and training. We also have networking events and workshops.

4. #workwithLJMU

   Advertise your opportunities on our online jobs board, find out about opportunities to engage with LJMU and our students through our internship programme, become a guest speaker, attend a careers fair, visit our Careers Zones and offer taster days via LJMU’s Employer Engagement Team.

5. Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair - 9 February, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   At our Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair, we'll have charities, businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas from various sectors. Some are looking for volunteers, others are offering paid summer opportunities, including Go Global schemes like Camp America.

6. Student and Graduate case studies

   Read careers case studies from students and graduates from every academic school at LJMU, including testimonials about volunteering, internships, industrial placements, graduate-level roles and graduate schemes.

7. Careers and start-up support for our Alumni

   The Student Futures Team offer free lifetime support to our LJMU Alumni. Find out more about our services, how to use our online careers platform, how to stay connected to the university via LJMU connect, and about Graduate Outcomes.

8. Green Careers and Sustainability Insights

   It is a great time to be interested in the green sector, as green jobs are growing at around four times the rate of the overall UK labour market.

9. Careers Support for Students with Disabilities at LJMU

   In collaboration with a number of student interns, Student Futures have created a range of careers resources for students with disabilities or health conditions or those who are neurodiverse.
