   More than 120 staff from across the university attended an engagement workshop on prioritising the student experience.

4. Password protection: keeping it simple

   Keeping our digital data safe is serious. All students and staff should look after their data and privacy online. Strong passwords are an essential defence against unauthorised access to your online accounts. Creating a strong, long, complex password will reduce the potential for a cybercriminal to access your data.

   Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded top 20 positions, across seven categories, in the StudentCrowd University Awards 2023

6. Updates to Relocation Policy for new staff

   The Relocation Policy for new staff has been updated to ensure it reflects HMRC guidance.

7. Climate Emergency: Active Travel Plan to incentivise cycling and walking

   Incentives for staff and students to travel sustainably are being put on the table to back the university's newly-approved Active and Sustainable Travel Plan.

8. LJMU supports Hong Kong Community with Progression to HE Opportunities

   LJMU’s Outreach Team has continued their work with the Hong Kong community based in Warrington. The team held an event last week to support the community and share access to Higher Educations options, within the region.

9. Over 600 attend Students at the Heart Conference 2024

   Staff and students from across the university have taken part in a two-day conference held on campus around the theme of community.

10. An afternoon with an astronaut

    Over 300 attendees from across Liverpool attended an ‘Afternoon with Helen Sharman ‘to listen to the inspiring story of what it was really like to become the first British astronaut in space.
