With awareness campaigns World Stroke Day later this month (29 October), we're shining a spotlight on one of LJMU’s latest research projects; TARGET, which is developing cutting edge AI technology to track and prevent strokes and atrial fibrillation.
LJMU recently hosted ‘John Lennon Day’ celebrating both his 77th birthday and the diamond anniversary of the Beatles icon’s enrolment as a Fine Art student at the university.
LJMU is one of 15 teams to win the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) and an LJMU academic has also been awarded one of 54 National Teaching Fellows (NTF). Dr Philip Denton, Principal Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, is the recipient of the NTF and the paramedic team at LJMU’s Schools of Nursing and Allied Health received the CATE.
