    It is with great sadness that the University announces the death of former student Caroline Aherne at the age of 52.

  2. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

    The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

  3. Outstanding graduates celebrate success

    At the final winter graduation ceremony, students from the Faculties of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, Science, and Engineering and Technology celebrated receiving their awards in the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

  4. Empowering staff to support PGRs from racially minoritised groups

    Academic and professional services staff who support PGRs have a bespoke training and development opportunity designed by the educational charity Grit Breakthrough. Using a coaching approach to support PGRs is a two-day online coaching workshop, which will run across two days in November.
