   Summer is here, and with more time spent outside and catching up with friends, LJMU are reminding all students, living within the community, some simple reminders on how to be a good neighbour.

   Liverpool Pride takes place on Saturday 30 July and LJMU are inviting all staff, students and friends to join us at the July event.

5. Join the Pride March on Saturday 27 July

   LCR Pride takes place on Saturday 27 July and we will be taking part in the Pride March on Saturday afternoon.

6. LJMU partners with L8 community celebration

   On Saturday 25 June, staff and students from LJMU will join hundreds of people at Firefit Community Hub (115 Upper Warwick Street, L8 8HD) in Toxteth for a community fair and celebration of everyone and everything that makes L8 so unique.

7. LJMU hosts climate summit for businesses

   How businesses and students can help the Liverpool City Region become carbon net zero was the key theme of a summit hosted by LJMU.

8. April is Autism Acceptance Month

   Bethany Donaghy, PhD student at LJMU, shares her personal experience with autism, describes common misconceptions, and talks about diagnosis and support.

9. LJMU donates £10,000 to local charity

   LJMU has donated £10,000 to a local charity on the back of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022.

10. Microplastics ‘abundant’ in remote polar seas

    There are similar concentrations of microplastic pollution on the seabed in Antarctica as in the North Atlantic and Mediterranean, scientists have found.
