4. Turning a passion for football into a career

   Matthew Ramsbotham, a recent graduate from LJMU's Science and Football course, is well on his way to an exciting career in the sport having taken part in internships at Liverpool and Everton Football Clubs.

5. About the Gender, Violence and the Criminal Justice System Research Group

   Based within the Centre for the Study of Crime, Criminalisation and Social Exclusion, researchers from the ‘Gender, Violence and the Criminal Justice System’ group ask fundamental questions about how gender is conceptualised within and across disciplinary and institutional boundaries.

7. Environment and sustainability

   At the Public Health Institute we provide advice to policymakers in consideration of the relationship between the environment and public health. Projects include: the use of parks, climate change, economic benefits of green infrastructure and evaluation of green projects for the community.

8. Skin function and morphology: effects of age and physical activity

   Within the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, we're looking to recruit volunteers for a skin function study.

   The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences (RISES) are a world-leading research institute, highly ranked in REF 2014. 10. Intelligence and surveillance

    The Public Health Institute's data collection and monitoring systems support public health reporting. Our surveillance systems include: Integrated Monitoring System, Trauma and Injury Intelligence Group, HIV Surveillance and the Drug Interventions Programme.
