   LJMU is exhibiting 'Infidel' the work of award-winning Liverpool photojournalist Tim Hetherington from 15-25 September.

5. Islamophobia Awareness Month

   November is the start of Islamophobia Awareness Month, and this year also marks 10 years of the awareness campaign, which showcases the positive contributions made to society, by Muslims, as well as raising awareness of Islamophobia in society.

6. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.

7. LJMU makes commitment to become a Menopause Friendly employer

   Marking World Menopause Day 2024 the university continues to progress its workplace support, awareness and understanding of the menopause.

8. Mersey Youth Rowing's First Training Workshop with LJMU's Performance Sports Department

   The Performance Sports Department hosted Mersey Youth Rowing's inaugural training workshop. The program, developed by Warrington Rowing Club, promotes diversity in rowing and imparts vital life skills. Coached by experts including Dr. Tim Donovan and Professor Graeme Close, the workshop equips youth rowers with essential knowledge for their competitive journey.

9. New institute driving education research

   A new institute established by Liverpool John Moores University will drive forward world-leading, impactful research in education locally, nationally and internationally.

10. Family judge for Cheshire and Merseyside hosts first LAC public debate event

    Her Honour Judge Margaret de Haas QC hosted the first public debate held by LJMU’s Legal Advice Centre, which focused on the legal rights of grandparents.
