   LJMU is wishing all our students, staff and partners in 30 institutions across the globe a happy Lunar New Year to all those celebrating.

4. Teaching student creates new braille for her visually-impaired pupils

   Enterprising Jade Smith, from St Helens on Merseyside, says the pre-braille method is already being used by youngsters in Liverpool, Lancashire, London, Wales and even in Missouri, in the US.

5. Students visit textiles and life conference

   MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation students: Joshua Marriott, Macarena Morilla Dominguez and Courtney Hammond presented research posters based on their MA proposals.

6. St Patricks Day and Liverpool

   Following International Women’s Day (8 March) and ahead of St Patrick’s Day (17 March), our Diversity and Inclusion team is looking at some of the Irish women who have made a significant contribution to Liverpool.

7. College students enjoy stay in Liverpool and university experience

   At the beginning of July, nearly 100 Year 12 students from Northern Ireland, Wales and across the rest of England took part in a three-day residential visit to LJMU to experience all that the university has to offer.

8. Students help kick off major Liverpool football exhibition

   A ground-breaking new exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery combining fashion, football, and art, showcases work from LJMU fashion communication students.

9. New Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion appointed

   LJMU has appointed six Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion (ADDI), representing each of the five faculties and professional services, to support the university in driving forward the diversity and inclusion agenda.

10. Double win for LJMU students at Innovation in Business Awards 2022

    A student and a recent graduate from LJMU have scooped two awards at the Liverpool Chambers Innovation in Business Awards 2022.
