1. IT upgrades coming your way

   During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.

4. LJMU scientist wins silver award in Parliament

   Dr Claire Burke, an Astro-ecologist at LJMU’s Astrophysics Research Institute, was awarded the silver prize for physical sciences in Parliament at STEM for BRITAIN.

5. LJMU rated highly in Teaching Excellence Framework

   LJMU has been awarded a gold rating for student outcomes and silver overall in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

6. Level 5 and Level 6 students - share your views for a chance of winning £100

   Could you spare a few minutes to complete a survey about your studies? The UK Engagement Survey (UKES) is a national survey asking students to comment on your engagement with different kinds of learning activities.

7. Honorary Fellowship: Lord Hall of Birkenhead

   Liverpool John Moores University awards Honorary Fellowship to Lord Hall of Birkenhead at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 15 July 2016.

10. Students learn traditional techniques to create sustainable fabrics and garments

    Throughout the academic year more than 120 undergraduate, MA and PhD students from a range of disciplines across the Liverpool School of Art and Design have learnt a variety of traditional skills from leatherwork to weaving.
