   The Cellular and Molecular Physiology of Lifelong Health (CaMP-LH) group aims to optimise muscle health throughout the human life course.

2. Applied Physiology Nutrition and Metabolism Group

   The Applied Physiology Nutrition and Metabolism Group within RISES are involved in health, wellbeing, recovery and sporting performance. Our research into exercise metabolism and adaptation is applicable to the design of interventions that improve human health.

4. The Multisensory Mouth: An investigation into the Motivational, Cognitive and Emotional mechanisms, driving Oral behaviours

   This project focuses on the role olfactory and oral perception plays in shaping our consummatory experiences, preferences, and food seeking behaviours. Research into this area is important to health research, shaping understanding of individual differences in food selection, consumption, and other dietary behaviours.

5. Communication and blended-learning: Language and social cues in different learning contexts across educational stages

   The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the pace at which educational institutions moved towards a blended approach of online and in-person learning (Jisc, 2020). While embracing this change, the challenges it brings for learner experience, engagement and learning must be carefully considered.

7. Natural Products Formulation and Delivery

   The Centre for Natural Products Discovery is concerned with preventing and curing disease. Find out about formulation and delivery of natural products including the use of nanoparticles for drug delivery of natural products.

   Control and Logistic group have conducted research and implementation on Control, Optimization and Industrial systems for four decades.

   The Nature related Pedagogies research group promotes inter-organisational collaboration and knowledge creation with a focus on nature related pedagogies for wellbeing.
