2. Founders' Day dinner to mark LJMU 200

   Distinguished guests and friends of the university were invited to a Founders’ Day dinner at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral yesterday evening, Thursday 6 July, to commemorate LJMU’s Bicentenary.

3. Expressions of interest welcomed for multiple Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible LJMU staff to serve on the Academic Board and to take up their roles in September.

4. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

5. LJMU to run UK's only degree on climate change

   LIVERPOOL has achieved a climate first by launching the UKs first degree in climate change studies.

6. REF 2021 Consideration for Individual Circumstances

   As part of the University's commitment to supporting equality and diversity in the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), we have put in place safe and supportive structures for eligible academic staff to declare information about any equality-related circumstances that may have affected their ability to research productively during the assessment period (1 January 2014 - 31 December 2020), and particularly their ability to produce research outputs at the same rate as staff not affected by circumstances.

7. ICC Head of Research invited to join AHRC Peer Review College 2020-23

   Following a competitive nomination process, LJMU's Kerry Wilson has been invited by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to join its academic Peer Review College.

8. Are you ready for National Student Money Week?

   During week commencing Monday 3 February 2020, LJMU will be taking part in National Student Money Week. The theme for this year is 'Spend Healthy, Live Healthy: Sustainable Money' and during the week we will focus on reducing waste and saving money.

9. Work with LJMU Marketing

   LJMU Marketing Services are on the lookout for students to feature in our print and online marketing materials and work alongside us to help produce social media content - to promote the university and Liverpool.

10. New Subcontracting Policy approved

    The approved Subcontracting Policy sets out the requirement for subcontracting provision for degree apprenticeships delivered across the university.
