In 1978 gay rights activist Gilbert Baker created the first Pride flag with the goal of it being a symbol for everyone. Since then many new flags were created to represent all communities within the LGBTQI+ community.
The approaches below are collated from the literature and also from the views of colleagues within the faculty who have used student devices as audience response systems.

We recognise that some students who identify as LGBTQIA+ would prefer to live with other LGBTQIA+ students. We can offer the choice of a limited number of en-suite flats with this preference should you wish to select it.
