1. Student advice when celebrating Halloween 2022

   With spooky season right around the corner, LJMU is reminding all students some simple ways to be a good neighbour, if you are celebrating Halloween.

   From the start of the 2024/25 academic year the institutional style for Harvard referencing is changing from Harvard LJMU to Harvard Cite Them Right.

   The final Roscoe Lecture of LJMU’s Bicentenary year was met with a rousing standing ovation at St George’s Hall.

4. Academic Framework Regulations updates for new academic year

   Two policies have been updated, one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate programmes.

5. Long service awards

   The university has updated the Long Service Awards scheme to include celebration of reaching additional key milestones at 25, 35, 45 and 50+ years’ service.

6. Health advice - mumps

   We are aware of a couple of LJMU students being diagnosed with mumps in the last few days.

7. Emma commended at Westminster for widening access in education

   LJMU PhD student and member of the Student Recruitment and Admissions team Emma Smith has received a commendation for her contribution to widening access at a national awards ceremony held in the Palace of Westminster recently.

8. Academic Board election results 2023

   A host of representatives from our faculties, along with professional services, have been elected to the Academic Board following a series of elections that took place over the past fortnight.

   Join a week of online events and workshops from Monday 21 to Friday 25 October.

10. Graduation dates announced for March 2023

    Our next graduation ceremonies are now scheduled to take place between Monday 27 – Wednesday 29 March 2023
