   The School of Law is located in the £37.6 million Redmonds building, which provides three impressive lecture theatres, as well as teaching and seminar rooms, IT suites, social learning spaces, roof terraces and a Starbucks café.

4. Dr Susanne Zajitschek

   Dr Susanne Zajitschek is a rising star within our School of Biological and Environmental Sciences, having been recognised for her impact on the student learning experience and her leadership potential in teaching and learning. Joining at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Susanne has made a big impact at LJMU in just a short period of time.

5. Sharing Practice – Screencasts and role-play to support distance taught students

   For six years this faculty has been running a distance taught programme in Athens which straddles the two notions of distance and face to face teaching.

6. European Journalism Training Association Teachers' conference

   The university’s Journalism Department is hosting the European Journalism Training Association teachers’ conference, where teaching of sports, society and specialist journalism will be discussed by educators from across the continent.

7. Nickianne Moody

   Nickianne worked at LJMU for just short of 30 years, teaching on and then leading the university’s Media and Cultural Studies provision. Sadly, she died in 2019 following a period of illness, leaving behind a multitude of memories and legacies for students and academics alike.

8. Dr Elizabeth Malone

   Elizabeth is the Head of Primary Programmes within the School of Education, and her own career in teaching brought her to work at the university. In 2023, she won a JMSU Student Experience Award, after being nominated as an outstanding teacher with students praising her for her support, empathy, and enthusiasm in all that she does.
