1. Thematic Doctoral Pathways

   LJMU is continuing with its pilot programme for internally funded Thematic Doctoral Pathway’s (TDP) to develop our own programmes of cohort-PhD offer.

2. The effectiveness and acceptability of Suicide Postvention Liaison Services for Individuals Bereaved by Suicide

   This study aims to interview people supported by these services, the employees delivering this support, commissioners and key wider services who may have links to the services, including coroners, police, GPs and public health officials.

3. Configuration and utilisation of clinical pathways by patients who attend A&E in suicidal crisis

   This study will enable two mental health trusts across Cheshire and Merseyside to review eight A&E departments’ hospital data for patients who attend in suicidal crisis.

   Are you over 50 years of age and would like to take part in a research project looking at the effects of exercise on the function of blood vessels?

5. Para-Disability coach education and learning

   Tabo Huntley, LJMU Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching, has recently secured a £330,000 Erasmus+ funded project to design and implement a European Para Coaching Framework and design an online resource for coaches working or intending to work within a para coach setting.

7. People - Institute of Art and Technology

   Members of staff from the Institute of Art and Technology are experts within the fields of art, design and technology.

8. Fitness to Practise - Faculty of Science

   For some professional programmes the University is required to make a judgement on a students' fitness to practise a certain range of skills and professional behavior. This is entirely separate from any academic judgment issues that the University is required to make.

9. Outreach and Public Engagement

   The Astrophysics Research Institute provides exceptional educational and public outreach projects including the National Schools' Observatory, Spaceport, astronomy workshops for schools and more.
