3. Phil Bakstad

   Phil has worked at LJMU for over 16 years. He’s currently the Student Inclusion Lead within the Student Advice and Wellbeing Team and has recently started a new role as Diversity and Inclusion Associate Dean for Professional Services. Since 2010, Phil has also led on organising and representing LJMU at the annual Liverpool Pride March.

4. Centre for Natural Products Discovery

   The interconnected research theme of the group is the prevention and cure of human diseases. We look at: synthetic organic medicinal chemistry, natural products drug discover, photochemistry, nutraceuticals and food supplements, pharmacology and toxicology.

   The University Women in the Professional services (WPS) is for all female staff in professional services at all levels.    This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course will provide you with an understanding of cell culture relating to research and commercial exploitation.

9. Jane Garvey Honorary Fellowship

   Read the oration for Jane Garvey in the presentation of her award as an Honorary Fellow of Liverpool John Moores University.

10. Ebenezer Banahene

    Ebenezer is a senior lecturer in adult nursing and was recognised by the Royal College of Nursing for his work in supporting refugee nurses to obtain registration in the UK and to work for the NHS.
