    The School of Biological and Environmental Sciences conduct interdisciplinary and collaborative research with a number of large organisations across the globe within the areas of genetics, neurobiology, anthropology, medical entomology, ecology, evolution, and the environment.

  2. Human variation and adaptability

    Through the fields of palaeoanthropology, bioarchaeology, palaeogenetics, evolutionary genetics and human biology - we study human variation. Discover more about human variation and adaptability, the projects we are currently working on, read our papers, and meet the researchers.

  3. Time domain astrophysics

    Within the time domain astrophysics research group, we are involved in major observational survey projects. We work on a variety of explosive transients, including galactic and extragalactic novae, type la supernovae, core collapse supernovae, and gamma rays bursts.
