Tabo Huntley, LJMU Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching, has recently secured a £330,000 Erasmus+ funded project to design and implement a European Para Coaching Framework and design an online resource for coaches working or intending to work within a para coach setting.
Avril is a graduate of the university, she spent 20 years teaching in primary schools on Merseyside before joining LJMU in 2014 where she is now a senior lecturer within our School of Education, working with both undergraduate and postgraduate students on our primary education programmes. She combines her passion for the outdoors with teaching, and has become our lead on outdoor learning, developing a new approach called the Natural Curriculum, and establishing two Forest School sites.

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the pace at which educational institutions moved towards a blended approach of online and in-person learning (Jisc, 2020). While embracing this change, the challenges it brings for learner experience, engagement and learning must be carefully considered.
