7. Media students' climb to the top

   Three Liverpool Screen School students have won £2,000 in a competition run by leading motoring magazine, Influx Magazine.

8. World class marine engineer joins LJMU team

   LJMU has welcomed Professor Tony Graham FREng to its ranks as it strengthens research and knowledge exchange in marine and shipping technology.

9. Were sauropods swimmers or walkers?

   An international team of scientists, led by the China University of Geosciences in Beijing and including palaeontologists from the Liverpool John Moores University, has shed new light on some unusual dinosaur tracks from northern China. The tracks appear to have been made by four-legged sauropod dinosaurs yet only two of their feet have left prints behind.
