1. Staying Safe this Semester

   Our Student Advice and Wellbeing team is giving their advice on staying safe and where to go for help or support if you need it.

2. degree apprenticeships

   LJMU is set to expand its successful degree apprenticeship programmes after being awarded significant new funding. The university has received £1m from the Office for Students’ national fund to support level 6 degree apprenticeships.

3. Call for staff support for LJMU's Armed Forces Steering Group

   The steering group would like more colleagues from across the university to get involved with their work.

4. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

5. Vice-Chancellor receives Maritime Ambassadors Award

   LJMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Weatherill has been recognised by Mersey Maritime for his commitment to securing the future of the Liverpool City Region Maritime Sector.

6. LJMU hosts international delegates as they showcase new innovative solutions and best practice in health care in Liverpool

   The school of nursing and allied health at LJMU is hosting international delegates from the Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary and Portugal as part of their commitment to HELIUM

7. VC PhD Studentship Awards and Thematic Doctoral Programme Awards 2023/24

   LJMU has awarded 21 VC PhD Studentship awards to exceptional students at the university.

8. Criminology students visit Slovenia for international crime and harm reduction discussions

   Students and staff from the Criminology Department, School of Justice Studies recently spent a week in Ljubljana, Slovenia to discuss crime and harm reduction with a range of governmental and non-governmental organisations.

9. MA WRITING students offer short and powerful insights into life in Liverpool

   Liverpool 500 was part of the LJMU MA Writing program and has been shared with Liverpool in Australia a collaboration which forms part of LJMUs Liverpool 2 Liverpool project with University of Wollongongs Liverpool Campus in Sydney.

10. Rio's goal to remove barriers surrounding disabilities within sport

    Second Year Sport Business student, Rio Boothe, is partnering with charities in the North West to raise awareness around the barriers surrounding disabilities and para sport.
