   In February 2019, LJMU joined the Universities Studying Slavery Consortium (USS), based at the University of Virginia.

5. Special Collections and Archives on the BBC

   The Library's 19th century periodicals collection will be featured in an episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip on Thursday 24th January. Presenter Martel Maxwell and expert James Braxton talked to Professor Brian Maidment before heading over to the School of Art & Design to be sketched by two graphic design students.

6. Research outcomes: data repository support and arts output gathering

   Our Research Engagement Team within Library Services wants to know more about your research outcomes and is sharing new guidance on using the LJMU data repository.

7. Call for submissions: Teaching and Learning Conference 2020

   This year's conference will take place on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June and submissions are now invited from staff and students and collaborative partner institutions, as well as other colleagues working in post-16 education.

   The Secretariat shares with you the latest update which came into force on Monday 4 December 2023, with immediate effect.

9. Disability and neurodiversity equity: next steps at LJMU

   In recognition of Disability History Month (14 November to 20 December) and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, we’re reflecting on our progress over the past 24 months to support staff and students with a disability/ who are neurodiverse and outlining our next steps to advance disability equity.

10. LJMU donates £10,000 to local charity

    LJMU has donated £10,000 to a local charity on the back of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022.
