1. Student Mental Health Survey now open

   Help us continue to improve our health and wellbeing provision for students at Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool by completing our online mental health survey.

2. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

3. Visit to House of Lords to discuss how to support disabled graduates

   Keren Coney, Careers Adviser in Student Advancement: LJMU's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Service, was thrilled to go to the House of Lords to meet with Lord Shinkwin to discuss how to support disabled graduates as they seek to enter the workplace.

4. LJMU accelerating partnership talks with FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), Hanoi

   The Head of International Partnerships and International Partnerships Manager held talks in Hanoi with representatives of FPT School of Business & Technology to support the development of LJMU's Transnational education ventures in Vietnam.

5. ‘Pest’ monkeys save palm oil industry millions

   MONKEYS save the palm oil industry hundreds of millions each year by killing damaging pests, according to researchers in Liverpool, UK.

6. World Mental Health Day 2019

   World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.

7. LJMU is selected for new national strategy through its commitment to care leavers

   LJMU is part of a landmark support scheme to help raise aspirations and outcomes for care leavers.

8. LJMU students learn to drive with virtual reality driving lessons

   Students from Liverpool John Moores University are trialling cutting edge technology that will enable them to learn to drive without the use of a car.

9. LJMU student hosts public engagement event at Tate Liverpool to break the stigma of homelessness

   Narratives of Homelessness will be running at Tate Exchange in Liverpool from Monday 5 March – Saturday 10 March from 12.00 – 3.30pm

10. Public asked to remember the atrocities of crimes against humanity to reduce the risk of endless age on age destruction

    Director of Service Prosecutions and former United Nations International Prosecutor Andrew Cayley CMG QC FRSA made a ‘call to arms’ as he addressed the audience as the latest guest speaker at the LJMU Roscoe lecture series.
