   LJMU has created five Associate Dean positions across the faculties and one for Professional Services to support the university in driving forward the EDI agenda.

2. Staff Car Parking Update

   Following a recent review of LJMU staff car parking provision, the university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2023.

3. Young people benefit from LJMU residential

   LJMU Outreach has welcomed 25 young people from 12 schools across the North West to its annual Year 10 residential, targeted specifically at those in local authority or residential care.

4. Double win in the inaugural TrackImpactorg Project Competition

   LJMU has triumphed in two of three categories at the first-ever TrackImpact.org Global Project Competition.

5. Women in Professional Services event: Wednesday 12 October 2022

   Staff are invited to the first face-to-face networking event organised by the Women in Professional Services (WPS) Network, taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the Student Life Building with guest speaker Dawn Corker.

6. International Welcome starts this week

   This is the first bespoke welcome programme catered for International New Arrivals.

7. Give out Wellbeing Journals to all your students in your Personal Tutor meetings

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students, and academic staff are being encouraged to hand them out at their first personal tutor meetings with students.

8. Centre for Educational Research seminar series 2022-23

   Next month, the Centre for Educational Research (CERES) seminar series kicks off with two online events taking place every month from October through to May.

9. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

10. Professorship and Readership Conferment: Call for submissions

    Each year applications are invited for the conferment of Professorships and Readerships and the process for 2020 is now open.
