2. Community gain research insights through Big Ideas event

   LJMU opened its doors to the local community as a host of its academics shared insights into research topics making a difference in the Liverpool City Region.

3. Law Students Take Part in Mock Employment Tribunal Event

   As part of LJMU's School of Law ethos to provide students with career-shaping opportunities, students recently participated in a mock employment tribunal at Liverpool Town Hall. The event allowed students to experience the inner workings of an Employment Tribunal and observe the skills and knowledge needed as they progress towards their careers in the legal sector. The students were able to experience a simulated trial thanks to the teams at Brabners, 9 St John Street Chambers and Adaptable Recruitment.

4. LJMU to host Universities Policy Engagement Network fringe event on EDI

   The university will host an event for the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN) to further their work in addressing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within academic-policy engagement.

5. Liverpool City Region HDD project trials Open RAN technology at Comic Con event

   LJMU is part of a consortium aiming to improve digital connectivity in high density settings.

   'Towards Outstanding' programme improved retention, motivation and learning culture at healthcare group

7. Campaigning for Inclusion, Equality, Freedom & Justice: LJMU LGBT History Month Event 2019

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team in collaboration with the LJMU LGBTIQ+ Staff Network, presented an opportunity for all LJMU staff, students and members of the local community to attend this year’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month Event (2019).

8. Expertise in design and technology education shared at international UNESCO event

   Dr Matt McLain from the School of Education attended the event in Shenzhen, China.

9. Disability History Month: What's happening at LJMU and support available

   Disability History Month runs between 16 November and 16 December 2023 and it is an opportunity to reflect on the past and create positive change for the present and the future.
