   Staff and students at LJMU have welcomed changes to the Highway Code that restructure the road hierarchy and prioritise walking and cycling.

   LJMU's School of Sport and Exercise Science plays a vital role in preparing jockeys for what is the most famous horse race in the world the Randox Grand National.

3. Sport science students make an impact with nearly 15,000 hours of placements

   From community sports clubs that support people with special educational needs to premier league football clubs, 173 students have undertaken 14,730 hours of work-based placements this academic year.

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually.    The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences welcomed 10 young people from the LFC Foundation to its Performance Sport Unit during the Easter holidays to learn more about the science behind football.

10. REF 2021 Consideration for Individual Circumstances

    As part of the University’s commitment to supporting equality and diversity in the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), we have put in place safe and supportive structures for eligible academic staff to declare information about any equality-related circumstances that may have affected their ability to research productively during the assessment period (1 January 2014 – 31 December 2020), and particularly their ability to produce research outputs at the same rate as staff not affected by circumstances.
