1. Staff Disability Network

   The LJMU Staff Disability Network is open to staff whom identify as having a disability (physical, hidden, mental and long-term health conditions), in the first instance.

2. Diversity and Inclusion Champions

   The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusion Champions is to support the University in driving forward the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda at Faculty and Professional Services level and ensure local issues inform the Diversity and Inclusion overall approach.

   CPD course to develop an understanding of psychosocial suicide prevention approaches, and apply psychosocial suicide prevention approaches in practice.

5. BIG 2016

   BASES Biomechanics Interest Group Meeting takes place on 30 March 2016. The event, hosted by the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, will allow staff and students to share their sport and exercise biomechanics research.

7. Online Guides and Resources

   Download our range of careers guides and resources, including Career Planning Guides and Career Insights. Career Mini Guides cover topics such as CVs and covering letters, application forms, interviews, LinkedIn, part-time jobs, volunteering, postgraduate study, graduate schemes and more.

8. FTDP scholarship funding

   Each scholarship funding is for three years of a full-time PhD degree programme, and includes tuition fees, a tax-free maintenance stipend of around £18,622 per annum (rising in line with URKI rates) and additional research costs of up to £1,600 per year.

9. Jonathan Falkingham MBE

   Read the oration for Jonathan Falkingham on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Tom Bloxham.

10. Jamie Christon DL

    Jamie Christon is the Chief Executive of Chester Zoo and was chosen as one of 10 new honorary fellows during LJMU’s Bicentenary year. The honour reflects his work driving forward conservation at the zoo, preventing extinction in a changing world, and working collaboratively with organisations, partners, and visitors.
