1. Behavioural Ecology and Physiology Research Group

   The Behavioural Ecology and Physiology Research Group studies the functions, mechanisms and development of behavioural and physiological interactions between organisms environment.

3. Centre for Natural Products Discovery

   The interconnected research theme of the group is the prevention and cure of human diseases. We look at: synthetic organic medicinal chemistry, natural products drug discover, photochemistry, nutraceuticals and food supplements, pharmacology and toxicology.

4. Expertise within GERI

5. Centre for Port and Maritime History Projects and Exhibitions

   LJMU’s CPMH members have contributed to or curated several exhibitions and are currently involved in exciting new and inter-disciplinary projects, including one centred on the Battle of the Atlantic 80th Anniversary Celebrations.

6. Contexts of human evolution

   Research within the Contexts of Human Evolution Group involves archaeological, palaeontological and environmental analyses of human evolution. Our research focuses on mammalian evolution, hominin behaviour and ecology, and patterns of faunal and floral distribution. 7. Experimental Technologies Lab

   Can architecture and design help people with dementia? Design for Dementia is an ongoing integrated research, design and build project undertaken by Art Labs.

9. Drone Technologies and Sensing

   The Drone Technologies and Sensing (DTS) research area combines some of the latest research from the General Engineering Research Institute (GERI) in the field of state-of-the-art drone technology, alongside well established research streams in optical measurement and sensing that have a long history of sustained research excellence.
