    Shaun is a dedicated member of the catering team at LJMU and was honoured with the Outstanding Professional Services award at the JMSU Student Experience Awards 2023, alongside the late Colette Dalton, a beloved colleague.

    Paul celebrated his 25th anniversary of working at LJMU in 2023, our Bicentenary year, and in 2024 will reach a marvellous milestone of 40 years working in education and will retire from the profession.

    A leading history department in the country, LJMU History has a 91% student satisfaction rating on the 2022 National Students Survey.

  6. Dr George Sharples

    In 2023, George was recognised for being LJMU’s longest serving member of staff, having worked at the university for some 51 years. He is a Reader in Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences and joined LJMU in 1972.

  7. UK Malaysia University Partnership Grants

    The British Council Malaysia provide seed-funding to UK-MUC Members in the form of UK-Malaysia University Partnership Grants, with the aim of facilitating collaborations among UK and Malaysian institutions in key areas of priority.

  9. Tom Murphy

    Read the oration for Tom Murphy on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Professor Roger Webster.

  10. Dr Kathleen Vandenberghe

    Kathleen has been a lecturer at LJMU since 2018, using her expertise and knowledge from a career in counselling to teach students on our MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice programme. In 2023, Kathleen was recognised by her students as Outstanding Personal Tutor in the students’ union, JMSU, Student Experience Awards.
