3. Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair - 9 February, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   At our Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair, we'll have charities, businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas from various sectors. Some are looking for volunteers, others are offering paid summer opportunities, including Go Global schemes like Camp America.

4. Social behaviour, ecology and conservation

   Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication. We primarily study primates (including humans) but also other species including birds. 5. Think Aloud

   Dr Amy Whitehead initially used and developed ‘Think Aloud’ as part of her PhD, looking at how Golfers make decisions. This led her to develop a course which supports sports coaches development, which was initially funded by LJMU, and delivered to a number of coaches at St Helens Rugby League Club.

6. Omic analysis of muscle adaptation

   Explore our pioneering use of omic techniques to study muscle adaptation, revealing new insights into muscle growth, injury prevention, and recovery in athletes.

   We provide a research training environment with opportunities for students and staff to develop their academic, theoretical, technical and research methods skills. 8. Professor Joe Rafferty CBE

   Joe is the Chief Executive of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and was chosen as one of LJMU’s Bicentenary year honorary fellows because of his impressive career in the NHS and the positive impact of his leadership in the field across Merseyside and beyond.

   Established in 2016 and based in the Liverpool School of Art and Design, the Institute of Art and Technology enhances artistic research and technologies.
