  7. About MEMARC

    The Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) specialises in fracture and contact mechanics, wave propagation in lattices and microstructures, thermal fatigue and thermal striping, materials development and processing, as well as dynamics and control systems.     The Liverpool Logistics, Offshore and Marine Research Institute (LOOM) specialises in marine, offshore and transport sectors. The research projects conducted by LOOM have helped to improve the efficiency of port and terminal operations in Europe and the Far East.

  10. Rachael Grace

    Rachael is the winner of the Rose Paterson Sportswoman Community Award 2023 for her dedication to the sport of netball in Liverpool. Not only is she an inspiring community sports coach she juggles teaching and being a mum alongside her own development, having most recently gained an MPhil with LJMU.
