1. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

2. Over 10,000 students graduate from LJMU

   Over 10,000 LJMU students from the Class of 2021 and 2022 have graduated over the past fortnight at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

3. Summer and graduate placement opportunities

   A great range of 200-hour part-time (20 hours per week over 10 weeks) and five-month full-time, paid student summer placements are currently available exclusively to LJMU students.

4. Take a quick survey to raise money for a local charity!

   The National Student Survey (NSS) launches this week for final year undergraduates. If you’re a final year student, you can help LJMU raise money for a local charity simply by taking a short survey.

5. Graduation review Thursday 11 July 2019

   The penultimate day of our summer graduation week boasted three ceremonies; graduands from Liverpool Business School celebrated in both the morning and afternoon, while graduands from the School of Humanities and Social Science enjoyed their ceremony with family and friends from 5pm.

6. LJMU funded bootcamp programme for staff

   We are funding 16 staff places on a new bootcamp programme which will see you complete ’24 in 24’ – that’s 24 sessions in 2024.

7. Scientists from the Astrophysics Research Institute showcase their latest simulations of the universe at event

   Astrophysicists from LJMU showcased their latest simulations at Daresbury Laboratory Open Week.

8. Summer graduation 2024

   This July, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 5,341 students who graduated across 15 ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral.

9. Chief Constable delivers Spring Lecture at LJMU

   Chief Constable Craig Guildford of West Midlands Police delivered his spring lecture at LJMU last week. The lecture titled Turning the Tanker: Reflections on 18 Months as Chief Constable of West Midlands Police was held in the Redmonds Building and saw Chief Constable Guildford share his strategic initiatives, and thoughts on the importance of community engagement, and the future direction of the force.

10. Student artists show their work in end of year showcase
