Elizabeth is the Head of Primary Programmes within the School of Education, and her own career in teaching brought her to work at the university. In 2023, she won a JMSU Student Experience Award, after being nominated as an outstanding teacher with students praising her for her support, empathy, and enthusiasm in all that she does.
Dex is a psychology and criminology student and the founder of JMSU’s Boxing Society. The society has not only brought students together in the world of sport, but has helped to form a community where people are also using boxing to support their mental health.
The Teaching and Learning Academy leads the development of teaching practice and enhances the learning experience of our students.
Shaquita is the 2022/23 Liverpool John Moores Students’ Union (JMSU) Vice President for Education and is passionate about furthering diversity in education. Having lost her mum during her own studies, she demonstrated incredible courage to have completed her degree at such a challenging time in her life, and to then go on to represent the student voice at JMSU.

Dr Lynch has been part of the fabric of the university for over 50 years, as a student, as a lecturer, as the Liaison Judge for the School of Law, as an Honorary Fellow, a mature student and Visiting Research Fellow.
Abdelrahman is a third-year biomedical sciences student. He came to LJMU from Egypt through the International Foundation Year and worked as a student mentor for fellow international students, to provide support and advice to help others settle into life in Liverpool.
Craig is an inspiring educator who embodies everything that LJMU stands for in 2023 - to be student focused, inclusive and courageous in all that we do. He was recognised in 2022 with a National Teaching Fellowship Award for his outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education.
