1. Ambassador Fellow, Phil Redmond, receives Freedom of Liverpool

   LJMU Ambassador Fellow, Professor Phil Redmond CBE, will today (Friday, 2 November) be awarded the Freedom of Liverpool – the city’s highest civic honour.

   Over 110 LJMU Scholars, Honorary fellows and alumni came together at a special event in London’s historic Middle Temple last night, hosted by LJMU Chancellor and Honorary Fellow, Sir Brian Leveson.

   LJMU’s assessment period will run from Wednesday 4 – Friday 13 January 2023 and personalised exam timetables are now available to view online.

6. Take a quick survey to raise money for a local charity!

   The National Student Survey (NSS) launches this week for final year undergraduates. If you’re a final year student, you can help LJMU raise money for a local charity simply by taking a short survey.

7. Black History Month through the eyes of a local Liverpool pupil

   This month Ceana Khonje, a local pupil from Belvedere College in Liverpool took on a work experience placement here at LJMU.

8. Disabled children to fulfil their potential through LJMU partnership

   A new interactive online training resource will help schools unlock opportunity and help disabled children reach their full potential. LJMU in collaboration with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) have launched the project after statistics for attainment in primary and secondary schools show a significant gap between pupils with no identified special educational needs (SEN) and disabled pupils.

9. Poignant and unique artistic record of LJMU's Bicentenary year goes on display

   Julia Midgley: Bicentenary Sketchbook - A Window on LJMU's 200th Anniversary Year is now on display for an extended run until Friday 5 April, at LJMU’s John Lennon Art and Design Building.
