6. Opportunities for veterans to plug skills shortage in green energy sector

   LJMU played host to the inaugural Veterans’ Green Energy Forum (Thursday 23 February) in an extension of its commitment to supporting veterans to better access higher education and to further its role in combatting climate concerns.

7. Wonderful week of Bicentenary year graduation ceremonies

   Nearly 5,000 students and 65 members of staff officially graduated this week across 14 joyous ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. The graduates will go down in LJMU history, picking up their accolades in the university’s 200th year.

8. Melissa crowned Pulp Idol for teen pregnancy novel

   UP-and-coming novelist Melissa Grindon hailed LJMU's writing community after being crowned Pulp Idol by Liverpool literary organisation, Writing on the Wall.

9. New Wilfred Owen film scoops thirteen international festival awards

   A new film telling the story of the fascinating final year of WWI English poet and soldier Wilfred Owen’s life has scooped a collection of international industry awards.

10. LJMU submits 600 academics to Research Excellence Framework 2021

    On March 25, the University hands over its best research to the 2021 Research Exercise Framework, the REF. With more than 600 academics put forward and dozens more colleagues behind the scenes, the REF is arguably the largest project undertaken by the university community.
