    During our bicentenary year, we honoured ten new fellows at a memorable event at St George’s Hall.

  2. Faculty of Science

There are three Schools in the Faculty of Science: the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences, and the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences.     The School of Justice Studies are engaged in work that encompasses three disciplines: Criminology, Criminal Justice and Policing Studies. Our aspirations as a School are to create just outcomes for individuals and our broader commitment to the creation of a just society.

  5. Supporting our city and communities

    LJMU is a key partner in working towards the Liverpool City Region’s target to be net zero carbon by 2040. We work with a wide range of other organisations on initiatives to tackle climate change and protect our environment.

  6. Lady Edwina Grosvenor

  7. Professor Joe Rafferty CBE

    Joe is the Chief Executive of Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and was chosen as one of LJMU’s Bicentenary year honorary fellows because of his impressive career in the NHS and the positive impact of his leadership in the field across Merseyside and beyond.

  8. Gary Blacker

    Gary is a paramedic science graduate of LJMU with over two decades of experience in the ambulance service. He has now made the transition to become a full-time member of staff at the university, teaching the next generation of health professionals. In 2023 he was named as an Outstanding Teacher at the students’ union awards after being nominated by his students.

  9. Razvan Neagoe

    Razvan embraced university life during his policing studies degree, having moved to the UK from Romania and being inspired by a coffee shop customer to work in the world of policing. He was a Student Advocate, supporting others to get into higher education and will now go on to serve with Merseyside Police taking his learned experience, and compassion for others, into his career.

  10. His Holiness the Dalai Lama

    An Honorary Fellow of LJMU for his continual pursuance of peace and one of the most memorable Roscoe lecturers to have graced the stage at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral for our popular public lecture series that has been running since 1997.
