   LJMU was runner-up in the Education Links Category at the Greater China Awards, awarded by the Department for International Trade (DIT) North West recently.

5. City ambassadors at LJMU gain recognition for £775k economic impact of academic conferences

   Four academics have been recognised by Club Liverpool for their roles in bringing education and research conferences to the city in 2023.

7. Teaching and Learning Excellence award winners honoured at ceremony

   The winners of this year’s Teaching and Learning Excellence Awards 2023 (TLAs) received their awards at an event held in the Tithebarn Building.

8. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

9. Graduation review Thursday 12 July

   The morning saw graduations from Maritime and Mechanical Engineering, the Astrophysics Research Institute, Electronics and Electrical Engineering and the School of Nursing and Allied Health. In the afternoon Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering and Technology Research Institute, Civil Engineering and Built Environment all celebrated their graduations.

10. First appointment for new Jockey Nutrition and Welfare PhD

    A PhD co-funded by the British Horseracing Authority and LJMU will commence in October with a full-time three year role for Daniel Martin from the Professional Jockeys Association’s Nutrition Team.
